Product Overview
Formulated to dissolve and disperse deposits on heat transfer surfaces. Its wetting agents and inhibitors support cleaning while protecting metal surfaces. Product selection considers deposit characteristics and every metal in the circuit, rather than equipment type alone.
Where Is Kelvenoks Ferlin 123 Used?
- Water-side scale and mineral deposits in boilers containing iron and steel
- Iron and steel pipe circuits subject to material review
- Iron, steel and cast iron heat transfer surfaces
Technical Features
- Product and application suitability are assessed using deposit characteristics and all system metals.
- The inhibited formulation supports metal surface protection under suitable application conditions.
- The technical bulletin states that the inhibitor remains effective up to 90 °C. Application temperature is determined according to system characteristics.
Chemical Cleaning Application
1. Mixture preparation
The technical bulletin specifies 1 part Kelvenoks Ferlin 123 and 2 parts water. Measurement basis and preparation method are clarified in the technical procedure before application.
2. Cleaning monitoring
Chemical cleaning is monitored through pH measurements and technical checks. Heated application may be assessed according to system characteristics; temperature and duration depend on equipment materials and deposits.
3. Rinsing
After cleaning, the system is rinsed until blowdown water reaches pH 7–7.5.
4. Neutralisation and passivation
After rinsing, ALKALEN NP-100 is used for neutralisation and surface passivation.
- Material Focus
